As a company, there are trade secrets that you have in place and it is usually smart to keep such to yourselves. As your company grows, you employ new people and lose some along the way. Your staff is obviously exposed to some of your trade secrets to a certain extent and you want to make sure you have provided them with a confidentiality policy so they are made aware of what not to disclose and what the consequences are should they disclose these secrets. It is important to provide this to employees when you give them their employment contract.
